Activating Green-Blue Networks.

This project addresses the complex urban challenges—environmental, social, and economic—along the Seil of Amman, a historically significant strip running from Ras Al Ain to Al Mashatel and extending to Zarqa. The Seil has long influenced urban development in Amman, and the project seeks to address these existing issues while recognizing the broader historical context of the Seil’s presence.

After an in-depth analysis at both the micro and macro scales, multiple sites along the Seil were evaluated, and one was selected for the development of a master plan. This urban strip includes three key action areas located on Al-Hashemi Street, opposite the Roman Theatre in Downtown Amman.

The project envisions creating a network of productive, diverse, sustainable, and green communal spaces that manage urban runoff while promoting economic and recreational revitalization. The overarching goals include physical, policy, and managerial interventions, all designed to transform the area into a dynamic, regenerative urban hub.
